About ENACT

ENACT is an innovative drama-in-education company which teaches children and young adults how to use the basic techniques of creative drama to identify healthier options for expressing their feelings and opinions, and for dealing, in a positive way, with their own anger and fears. Its teaching artists and support staff use their combined expertise in acting, directing, and drama therapy to create safe spaces for personal development and growth in city classrooms. Its programs teach social emotional skills, such as active listening, self-awareness, non-confrontational communications, self-motivation, and problem solving, and builds self-esteem and self-confidence in students. Students are then better equipped to meet the many challenges life may put in their path.
